Tyre' Holloway won town council seat in 2013. He became Commissioner over Parks & Recreation of Dobbins Heights Community Park.Tyre is a firm believer in making the Park a user-friendly facility for the whole family. Holloway, was born in Brooklyn, NY but grew up in Dobbins Heights, NC.  He also, discovered the US Army JROTC and truly admired the discipline and routines of responsibility and leadership.  As a JROTC cadet, and eventually Cadet Battalion Commander. Tyre enrolled in to North Carolina A & T State University, completing his freshman year there, and transferred to the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, completing his studies in 2 ½  years and earning a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a concentration in Public Administration.
